The children yelled and clapped their hands. Rowlie got out
the paraphernalia from the wagon and set it up. Toots scrambled nimbly from the seat. Rowlie clapped his hands. But
nothing happened. The little dog sat waiting.
"What's the matter?" Rowlie said. "Ye're waiting for someone? Eigh, I see. Her Majesty hasn't arrived for the command
performance. Why, here she comes now."
Carefully trained by Rowlie, Lassie strolled before the crowd
and sat down. Rowlie gave her a little bit of liver as her reward.
