У края сознания пальма
Обрывочных мыслей за гранью
Высится на косогоре.
На ней златоперая птица
поет заморскую песню. Чудно звучит ее голос.
Не найти в нем чувства и смысла.
И ты понимаешь, что счастье и горе
Приходят к нам невзначай.
Заливается птица, сияют перья.
Пальма, где света сходится край.
Тихо у пальмы колышутся ветви.
Перья у птицы огнями оделись.

Холодное стихотворение у Стивенса, помойму. У Вас немного потеплее вышло.
Но пальмы на косогоре не растут: они растут, вроде бы, на равнине, в пустыне и на пологом морском берегу...
А концовку я бы так переписала:
Тихо у пальмы ветви колышутся.
Перья у птицы огнями повисли.
(Так - ближе к тексту, вроде бы...).
А вот - зимний "вариант", но он - более "moved" - по-моему:

This is Stevens's great death poem. It can't be explained.
"The palm stands on the edge of space.
The wind moves slowly in the branches."
Even at the edge of space there are things he loved: palm trees from Florida, and weather.
"You know then that it is not the reason
That makes us happy or unhappy."
Stevens's poetry always denied the world to come, and now he is at the end of his existence. But he is happy and unafraid! He writes one last mysterious and humorous line. "The bird’s fire-fangled feathers dangle down."
(And just possibly, the bird will be a phoenix and live again.)
