Василий Комаровский «Сентябрь»

Внезапной бурею растрёпана рябина
     И шорохом аллей.
Вчерашнего дождя осыпались рубины
     На изморозь полей.

И снова солнечный, холодный, и приятный,
     И день, и блеск садов.
И лёгкой зелени серебряные пятна
     В прозрачности прудов.

Морского воздуха далёкое дыханье
     Как ранняя весна.
Глав позолоченных весёлое сверканье.
     Безлюдье. Тишина.

Пусть это только день, и час, или мгновенье.
     Пусть это день один,
И в тонком воздухе я чую дуновенье,
     И холод первых льдин.

Но солнце катится, и сердце благодарно,
     В короткие часы,
За жёлтый мед листвы, и полдень светозарный,
     И ясный звон косы.

Церера светлая сегодня отдала мне
     И запахи смолы,
Все эти серые и розовые камни,
     И мокрые стволы.

By sudden tempest, the rowan tree was disarrayed,
     By alleys' rustle filled.
Its burning rubies, scattered by yesterday's rain, played
     On hoarfrost of a field.

And again, a sunny, cool, and pleasant day, and glow
     Of the gardens I see—
And the silver flecks of tender green lie still and low
     In ponds' transparency.

I feel the distant breath of the sea-born salty air,
     Like early spring remains—
The gilded domes' merry sparkle in the sun so fair.
     No soul. And silence reigns.

Let it be a day, an hour, or the blink of an eye,
     A single day that comes,
In the thin air I feel a breath, and a chilly sigh
     Of the first icy charms.

The sun is rolling on, and my heart is filled with grace,
     In these hours, brief and dear—
For the golden honey of leaves, and the midday blaze,
     And the scythe's ring so clear.

Fair Ceres has given me today for no reason:
     Pine resin scent so sweet,
All these stones of gray and pink for every season,
     And wet tree trunks I meet.
