Her singing
That came along with awkward silence.
“I won’t survive without you there.”
“You will be fine with such defiance.”
You started singing songs of love,
But I was deaf to your sweet singing.
“I’ll die without you. Please, enough.”
“Well, my condolences,” I sting her.
“You cannot fight against your fate.”
“No matter what—I will accept it.”
“Why are you saying this so late?”
“I knew you wouldn’t understand me.”
You’re sobbing, and your tears fall
And crash against my cold attire.
And what’s the weirdest of all—
I’ve never, ever been a liar.
I say no word—you start to think,
That song of yours starts losing temper.
“I’ll miss you. I’ll miss everything.”
“At least there’s something to remember.”
I’ll never speak about love.
I’ve never liked these conversations.
It never fits you like a glove —
And your delulu expectations.
My heart in armor made of ice;
Her shattered heart, left there in pieces.
“So this is how it ends for us?”
“But there was nothing to begin with.”
I watch you quiver — how it hurts.
You hug yourself, suppressing shivers.
You want to say at least some words
Before it ends—and we’ll be even.
