Еженощное – с лампой зажжённой – в окно.
И пока круг от лампы на круглом столе
Выключается только на позднем рассвете,
Всё в порядке на круглой и светлой Земле,
Населённой читателями планете.

As a matter of fact — the books' number read holds no weight,
But what matters weightily for a long, long time,
The daily evening reading, the nightly one is great —
With a lamp lit — in the window, a silent clime.
And while the halo of the lamp on every round table
Goes out just only when the dawn sheds its last light,
On the round and fairy Earth, on the Planet of fable.
