Теплолюбивый, но морозостойкий,

но до сих пор весёлый и живой.

Морозостойкий, но теплолюбивый,
настолько, до того честолюбивый,
что не способен слушать похвалу,
равно счастливый в небе и в углу.

Тепла любитель и не враг морозов,
каким крылом его ни чиркали,
вот он стоит и благостен и розов.
От ветра ли?
От чарки ли?

Уверенный в себе, в своей натуре
что благо — будет и что зло падёт,
и в том, что при любой температуре —
не пропадёт.

that at any temperature here or there,
he'll stand through all.
