Весна, весна! Как воздух чист!
Как ясен небосклон!
Своей лазурию живой
Слепит мне очи он.

Весна, весна! как высоко
На крыльях ветерка,
Ласкаясь к солнечным лучам,
Летают облака!

Шумят ручьи! блестят ручьи!
Взревев, река несёт
На торжествующем хребте
Поднятый ею лёд!

Ещё древа обнажены,
Но в роще ветхий лист,
Как прежде, под моей ногой
И шумен и душист.

Под солнце самое взвился
И в яркой вышине
Незримый жавронок поёт
Заздравный гимн весне.

Что с нею, что с моей душой?
С ручьём она ручей
И с птичкой птичка! с ним журчит,
Летает в небе с ней!

Зачем так радует её
И солнце и весна!
Ликует ли, как дочь стихий,
На пире их она?

Что нужды! счастлив, кто на нём
Забвенье мысли пьёт,
Кого далёко от неё
Он, дивный, унесёт!

Spring, spring! Oh, how the air is clean!
The sky is clear and nice!
With azure, alive, blue-green,
It glares, dazzling my eyes.

Spring, spring! how soft all above sways,
On the breeze's wings high,
Caressing close to the sun's rays,
Light clouds glide through the sky.

Streams babble, shine of all the rest!
The river carries, roars,
The ice on its triumphant crest,
Raised up by flows of hers!

The trees are naked, and from snow free,
But in groves, an old leaf
Still rustles beneath the bare tree,
And sheds its fragrant whiff.

To the very sun, on strong wings,
Whirls up, in the fair height,
An invisible lark, and sings —
The hymn to the spring bright.

What's with my soul, that she feels nice?
She's a brook — with the brook,
A bird — with the bird; soars in skies;
Babbles, has a fresh look!

Why is she rejoicing so free
At the sun and spring bright!
Elements' daughter, does she glee,
Visiting their feast wide?

Who cares! happy's who at this feast
Drinks oblivion of thought,
From which so far; it'll, wondrous gist,
Carry away, my word!
