С Днём встречи выпускников 2026!

Традиция проводить встречи выпускников зародилась в Советском Союзе примерно в 1956 г. Эти мероприятия играли важную роль в укреплении связей школы с обществом, способствовали повышению значимости образования среди населения и оказывали поддержку талантливым молодым людям.

День – первая суббота февраля - был выбран отнюдь не случайно: по окончании зимней сессии и на студенческих каникулах появлялась возможность встретиться с бывшими одноклассниками в стенах родных школ.

Но праздник уходит корнями глубже. Российские выпускники начали организовывать такие встречи ещё в XIX столетии. Примечательным примером служит ежегодное традиционное празднование годовщин Царскосельского лицея 19 октября — в день начала нового учебного года.

Тогда бывшие студенты встречались вновь, вспоминали студенческие годы и свою крепкую дружбу. Документального подтверждения этого праздника не обнаружено, однако сохранились поэтические произведения Александра Сергеевича Пушкина, датированные 1825 и 1827 годами, где поэт воспевает «День Лицея» (19 октября):

The tradition of holding alumni reunions began in the Soviet Union around 1956. These events played a significant role in strengthening the school's ties to society, promoting the importance of education among the population, and supporting talented young people.

The date—the first Saturday in February—was chosen for a reason: after the end of the winter exam session and during student holidays, it offered the opportunity to meet with former classmates within the walls of their original schools.

But the celebration's roots go deeper. Russian alumni began organizing such reunions as early as the 19th century. A notable example is the annual traditional celebration of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum's anniversaries on October 19—the day the new academic year began.

Then, former students would meet again, reminiscing about their student years and their strong friendships. No documentary evidence of this holiday has been found, but poetic works by Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, dated 1825 and 1827, have been preserved, in which the poet sings of “Lyceum Day” (October 19):
