Пришла зима с морозами,
С морозами, с метелями,
Сугробы под берёзами,
Белым-бело под елями.

На вязах за околицей
Убор из белых бус.
А воздух жжёт, и колется,
И пахнет, как арбуз.

Пришла зима бодрящая,
Звенящая, хрустящая,
Со школьными задачами
И печками горячими.

Мы любим дни морозные,
Катка упругий лёд,
Ночное небо звёздное
И шумный Новый год!

Пришла зима с хлопушками,
С конфетами, игрушками
И праздничными, колкими,
Наряженными ёлками.

Зима весёлой маскою
Заходит к нам в дома.
Волшебной, доброй сказкою
Нам кажется зима!

Winter has come with frosty row,
With snowstorms and blizzards around,
Snowdrifts beneath the birches grow,
White-white beneath the firs is ground.

Beyond the village, on elms' twigs,
A string of white beads dwells.
The air burns and, like with pins, pricks,
Like watermelon smells.

Winter has come cheering and clean,
With the crisp snow and the frosts keen.
With school tasks for the little folk,
With the hot stoves and chimneys' smoke.

We love frosty days to hurry
Onto firm ice to skate,
The winter skies on nights starry,
Loud New Year's fun till late!

Winter's come with firecrackers,
With candies, toys, and nutcrackers,
With feast's prickly firs, adorned fine,
For the New Year's Eve, them to shine.

With merry mask and sparkling veil,
Winter enters each home.
Like kind and charming fairy tale,
Winter prefers to roam!
