Это — круто налившийся свист,
Это — щёлканье сдавленных льдинок,
Это — ночь, леденящая лист,
Это — двух соловьёв поединок,

Это — сладкий заглохший горох,
Это — слёзы вселенной в лопатках,
Это — с пультов и с флейт — Figar;
Низвергается градом на грядку.

Всё, что но;чи так важно сыскать
На глубоких купаленных доньях,
И звезду донести до садка
На трепещущих мокрых ладонях.

Площе досок в воде — духота.
Небосвод завалился ольхою,
Этим звёздам к лицу б хохотать,
Ан вселенная — место глухое.

It's — a whistle, rolling, filled, deep, stiff,
It's — a crackling of the crushed ice, and glare,
It's — a night, chilling the bough's last leaf,
It's — a duel between the nightingales' pair,

It's — sweet, mute peas, for the beds of beauts,
It's — tears of universe in the blade bones,
It's — Figar;, from consoles and flutes,
Falls in the gardens with the hail of stones.

All, the night must find, important, great,
That on deep bathing bottoms is lying,
And carry a star to the garth's shade
On the palms, trembling and wet from crying.

Swelter's — flatter than planks in wet mess.
The sky is covered like with alder boughs,
It would suit these stars to laugh; alas,
Universe — is a deaf place, each star bows.
