Предвосхитив те времена, когда
Я окажусь уже не чтим тобой,
Когда последнюю отдашь ты дань
Любви своей- пред светом и судьбой,

Когда ты мимо будешь проходить,
Едва подняв взгляд солнечных очей,
Когда любви оборванная нить
Уж утвердится в трезвости прочней:

Для тех времён я защищу себя,
Признав ничтожность всех своих заслуг,
И подниму я руку за тебя,
Приняв, что ты была права, мой друг.

Ты бросить бедного меня вольна.
Твой не смогу вердикт отвергнуть я.

When as thy love hath cast his utmost sum,
Called to that audit by advised respects;

Against that time when thou shalt strangely pass,

Against that time do I insconce me here
Within the knowledge of mine own desert,
