Мій переклад (на основі порівняння двох текстів):

Смаглявка

(пісня сефардів)

Смаглявою звуся,
А світла була.
Під сонцем чорніла,
Як гуляти йшла.

Бачу, що з віконець
Стріли в мене цілять...
Коли від любові,
То доречно стрілять.

[Одяг ось ошатний,
Червоний, зелений...
Ось веде розмову
З милим наречена.

Злотом вкрила сходи
З слонової кості,
Щоб у день весілля
Зійти по них гостю.]

- Скажи-но, красуне,
Чи підеш зі мною?
- Я сором'язлива,
Не піду з тобою.

Гукнув до смаглявки,
Королівський син.
Як гукне він ще раз,
То піду я з ним.

Гукнули "Смаглявко!"
Морські подорожні.
Як покличуть ще раз,
Піти з ними можу.

Смаглявою звуся,
А світла була.
Та під літнім сонцем,
Дуже часто йшла.

У квадратних дужках - куплети, де в оригіналі зустрічаються неіспанські слова. Для їх перекладу було потрібне порівняння з англійським текстом.

Рядок ' Los velos tengo fuetres' (буквально "Маю густі серпанки") перекладено інакомовно.
