Fidelity fox

Boar fell in love with Fox
Six months passed and they wed.
Fox so sweet and gentle
Dust blowing off boar’s head.
Strong winds around him warmly,
And vows of love and devotion.
At Deer’s birthday party
They danced with such emotion.
And she snorted with contempt
At Elephant’s harmless compliment

Once Boar came home early
And Magpie told on his wife
That Fox was away with Jackal
(who had chased her for life).

Boar’s blood boiled like Othello
He burst in as they lay beneath
Caught his wife with her lover,
And tore them apart with his teeth.
And had he faced Lion that night
He would not come out alive.

Take it from experience
I’ve known such cold hearts:
The lover comes over
As soon as the husband parts.
Or she pays him a visit...
You foxes are to dread
And never should you wed.
Give it up.
Seeking joy with Fox is in vain:
Toss her out by her mane.

Рецензии
Очень правильный стих.
Все должны жениться и выходить замуж за себе подобных.
Humans should live together with humans, boars - with boars, foxes - with foxes, lions - with lions, etc. And what is the most important thing (in my opinion) is that before wedding they all should check their feelings to their future partners during much longer period than 6 months...
Nice story.

With best wishes,
