                Давать советы не трудно, трудно извлечь из них выгоду.
                Giving advice is easy. Getting any mileage out of it is the hard part.

1.  Даже от добрых советов хочется бежать по добру-поздорову.

                Even well-meaning advice can make you want to run for the hills.
                Even good advice makes you want to get out while the getting is good.

2.  Советы никчемны: ни один нищий не просит советов, он просит деньги.

                Advice is useless: no beggar ever asks for advice, they ask for cash.

3.  Не можешь сойти за умного, выходи за него замуж.          (Из наставлений девушкам, выходящим в свет)

4.  Лучше всё же сойти ЗА умного, чем сойтись ПРОТИВ него.

5.  Поддерживай физическое здоровье физически, моральное – морально, финансовое – регулярно.

                Take care of your physical health physically, your moral health morally, and your financial health regularly.

                Cleanliness is next to financial health. Once you've laundered the money, wash your hands.

7.  Всегда надо брать на одну (ёмкость) больше, чем можно физически осилить.     на «Если бы вчера» (Вадим Полин)

8.  Если есть такая возможность, не выбирай предметы, выбирай преподавателей. (мой совет моим детям)

8.  При строительстве отношений соблюдайте технику безопасности: каска — по желанию, бронежилет для души — обязателен.

10. Не путай жизненный опыт с привычкой наступать на те же грабли.

                Don't mistake experience for repeatedly stepping on the same rake.

11. Главное в жизни — сохранять равновесие. Особенно когда земля уходит из-под ног.

                The main thing in life is to keep your balance—especially when the ground is slipping out from under your feet.
                The secret to life is keeping your balance, especially when the ground gives way beneath you.

12. Вместо того чтобы входить в чьё-то положение, лучше войдите в долю.

                Instead of putting yourself in someone else's shoes, get yourself a piece of the action.

13. Советы предпочтительно давать деньгами.

                Advice is best given in cash.
