I still hear the water calling out your name

I still hear the water calling out your name
Somewhere past the horizon nothing stays the same
Standing on the shoreline where we used to run
Chasing every sunset, thinking we were one

Now the tide is turning and the light is low
I keep holding memories I can't let go
Every wave that reaches me reminds me of your voice
Whispering the reasons I once had a choice

Footprints in the sand dissolve without a trace
But I still feel the warmth of your embrace
And the wind still carries echoes of your laugh
Fading like a photograph

Where the sky touches the water, I'll be waiting there
Holding every promise like a silent prayer
Where the sky touches the water, you will find me still
Loving you against my will

Seagulls trace the circles that we used to draw
Telling me the things I never said before
If the ocean holds a secret, let it be
That you were always meant for me

And the stars still fall like teardrops on the sea
Wishing you were here with me
Where the sky touches the water, I will call your name
Nothing in this world will ever feel the same

Where the sky touches the water, time will stand so still
Loving you against my will
Maybe someday waves will bring you home
Maybe someday I won't feel alone

Until then I'll watch the endless blue
Saving every sunset just for you
Where the sky touches the water, I'll be standing strong
Even when the nights are dark and long

Where the sky touches the water, love will find a way
Every single endless day
Where the sky touches the water, I'll be waiting here
Holding you forever near
