A Titmouse Song for Elisabeth

Let Bruckner's little titmouse sing tonight,
While Wagner dreams of finding peaceful shelter;
Let music sail across the fading light,
Where evening waves reflect the stars that glitter.

Yet calm is not the absence of all pain,
And sympathy is more than gentle feeling.
We all must walk through sorrow, wind and rain
To find eternity in light revealing.

I thank you for your kindness and your praise,
For music, warmth, and words of inspiration.
May this small song, across the evening haze,
Convey my heartfelt thanks and admiration.
