The Deepest Shades
1
Tonight, the words were left unsaid,
A quiet echo quickly fled.
The sun looked sadly at the bed
With the deepest shades of red.
2
A lonely breeze could simply stay
And have some fun during the day.
But for some reason ran away
To the deepest shades of grey.
Chorus
The night can show what we can't get,
The moon can know where we hide.
And every word we never said
Is disappearing in the sky.
The colours keep abandoned secrets,
The shadows keep forgotten names.
The stars are out of order,
But nothing feels misplaced.
3
With time the moon showed what was true
For all of them, for me and you.
It took a star, poured some glue
And glued it to the shade of blue.
Chorus
The night can show what we can't get,
The moon can know where we hide.
And every word we never said
Is disappearing in the sky.
The colours keep abandoned secrets,
The shadows keep forgotten names.
The stars are out of order,
But nothing feels misplaced.
