So little life left
That I don’t want to sleep,
To waste my time in vain,
Lying there in bed.
Better, with the first dawn,
I’ll walk through the dew,
And wash myself with water,
And pay tribute to spring.
I’ll greet the sun,
Embrace all the fields,
And to my beloved’s window
I’ll knock — here I am!
We’ll walk together
Through the green meadows,
To her, our love’s song,
I’ll cast at her wet feet!
I’ll fall to my knees,
Embrace her slender waist,
The wound that has not healed
I’ll once again expose to the winds!
Life, at times, cruelly
Teaches us what and how,
At times, we are lonely,
And there’s chaos in the soul!
Let the heart still weep
And bitterness remain within,
I can no longer
Live in this world any other way!
