Multifaceted autumn

Once again, the mottled autumn’s weeping,
Through the pine-tree crowns, the wind is sweeping,
Windows of the houses start to cry,
And no cats in courtyards meet the eye.

Once again, the leaves are gilded over,
Life plays notes of sadness, like a rover,
All the garden paths are dusted deep,
And the birds have left the trees to sleep.

Darkness falls much earlier, it seems,
Mushroom-pickers vanish like in dreams,
Smoke from chimneys rises, fires glow,
And love arrives, with no prelude or show.

Once again, a mournful guitar sighs,
Chasing smoke where the bar counter lies,
Beer mugs clink with hollow, heavy sound,
And friends are laughing, joyfully around.

They are young, what can you expect to see?
They’ve arrived from nowhere, wild and free,
For them, the autumn brings no trace of woe,
Each one shines, a star within the glow.

But I prefer a quiet evening home,
With my love, where candle-tears may roam,
Soft Enigma melodies play low,
Paradigms of secrets that we know.

Warming crimson wine within the glass,
Kissing as the tipsy moments pass,
Resting soul and body, side by side,
With a sudden sigh we cannot hide.

Simmering in our own sweet, private bliss,
Lying on our sides, a gentle kiss,
Twirling curls and whispering, half-heard,
Silly things, like purring, without word.

Listening to the rhythm of two hearts,
Melting as the warmth of touch imparts,
Velvet caresses, soft and deep,
Waking up the savage from its sleep.

Frenzied passion turns me to a beast,
Trembling deep within, a wild feast,
Howls and moans, a storm that’s uncontrolled,
As the hurricane and tempest now unfold!
