Eisenhorn, the Inquisitor
Puritas in morte, salus in igne.
I started with a heart of stone and righteous light,
A golden eagle soaring through the endless night.
A whisper from the cold, a grimoire in the dust,
To save the human race, I broke my sacred trust.
Per aspera ad damnationem.
Scientia nefanda, mea crux.
I wear the mask of demons in the dark,
A broken soul, a heretic's darkened mark.
I paid the price for secrets that I hold,
I saved the Imperium… and damned my own soul.
I bind the warp, I command the daemon’s breath,
Cherubael obeys, a living instrument of death.
The radical, the traitor, the monster in the dark,
With every sin I commit, I leave another mark.
Per aspera ad damnationem.
Scientia nefanda, mea crux.
I wear the mask of demons in the dark,
A broken soul, a heretic's darkened mark.
I paid the price for secrets that I hold,
I saved the Imperium… and damned my own soul.
My psy-blade is heavy, my body growing old,
The tragic path of Gregor is finally foretold.
Let the High Lords judge me, let the fire take my bones,
My history is written in the blood upon the stones.
I kept the wolves away, but I became the beast.
They call me a heretic, they hunt me through the stars,
I broke the law to keep the human race alive!
How much of your soul must die so man can survive?
I wear the mask of demons in the dark,
A broken soul, a heretic's darkened mark.
I paid the price for secrets that I hold,
I saved the Imperium… and damned my own soul.
Consummatum est.
Cherubael, mane mecum.
Ego solus sum.
