Autumn love
Forgotten eyes,
The blood begins to rush,
A tear within them lies.
Autumn, idle talk,
In that bar around the bend,
Recalling some old meet,
Back when, my long-lost friend.
We laughed and drank our gin,
Like hell, we smoked away,
Blew rings into the air,
Like samovars at play.
We spoke of things we kept,
Things we could not forget,
Sometimes we laughed aloud,
No life-long regret.
The jazz was weeping low,
The sax began to purr,
Everything was perfect,
Just for us, for her.
Then out into the night,
I walked her to her place,
Time turned back its flight,
I kept a silent face.
The hallway, dark again,
Two steps until the door,
It doesn’t matter now,
Kiss me, I need you more.
Where the hell are the keys?
Open the door, be quick,
No words, just silence now,
Off with the coat, the trick.
Off with all the clothes,
I crave your love so deep,
Don’t wait, I’m burning up!
Enter, while shadows creep.
A heavy, honeyed moan,
Sweaty bodies start to sway,
How tender He remains!
Still bold in every way.
To lift her in my arms,
Carry her to the bed,
Slowly now, once more,
By kisses we are fed.
A blissful, warming glow,
Like in the days of old,
Dawn breaks, the light is here,
In lilac mist unrolled.
I love you, I whisper,
Kissing your neck again,
I want you so, my dear,
Long live love’s sweet reign!
Autumn love,
Happy eyes,
Blood boils with passion now,
The tear of sorrow dries.
