Where the Legends Hide
[Verse 1]
In the spines of ancient books,
Hidden in the dusty nooks,
Where they wait in silent rows,
Standing still upon the shelf.
There are stories, songs, and rhymes,
Magic from the olden times,
Past the clouds, in mountain castles,
Where the legends hide themselves:
[Chorus 1]
Queens and barons, high and noble,
Kings and graceful baronesses,
Mages, knights and mighty dragons,
And the smitten princesses.
[Verse 2]
Water-sprites within the mires,
Goblins deep by dungeon fires,
Bored to death with nothing doing —
You can see it for yourself.
Witches in their mortars flying,
Magic charms and spells supplying,
Mixing potions, brewing magic,
To bring dreams upon your shelf:
[Chorus 1]
Queens and barons, high and noble,
Kings and graceful baronesses,
Mages, knights and mighty dragons,
And the smitten princesses.
[Verse 3]
But for those who won’t obey,
Turning story-time away,
Thinking that the fairy tales
Are just lies and nothing more...
Those who hate to eat their porridge,
Lacking any "creature-courage,"
If they don't go straight to sleep now,
They will hear them at the door:
[Chorus 2 - a bit Angry]
Quite indignant, frowning barons,
Kings and cross-eyed baronesses,
Disobedient, naughty dragons,
And the moody princesses.
[Chorus 3 - Scary/Funny]
Furious and raging barons,
Kings and scary baronesses,
Saber-toothed and hungry dragons,
And the toothless princesses
