Autumn Sky - The Master s Canvas

Autumn Sky (The Master’s Canvas)

Verse 1:
As solemn and clear as a cathedral’s old hall,
The stillness of autumn hangs over the town.
The sky isn’t blue like the sea’s rising fall,
But a sketch that a hand has just gently laid down.
The borders are blurred, and the birds in their flight
Are woven in lace made of leaves on the ground.
And naked trees sleep in the dim, fading light,
Like palettes where colors are yet to be found.

Chorus:
Autumnal sky — pastel and deep blue,
A heart that is weary of storms it went through.
It doesn’t deride us, it doesn’t provoke,
But shimmers through tears like a crystalline smoke.
And in this high silence, so pure and so vast,
We’re only but dots on a sheet that is cast.

Verse 2:
Through grey heavy clouds, like the folds of old lace,
An amber-bright eye will appear for a while.
There Time plays with Cosmos a hide-and-seek chase,
And clicks a soft latch with a secretive smile.
Up there, no one looks for a home or a name,
Where angels are polishing silver in flight.
And every echo and word is the same —
It flies to the clouds, from "once was" to "the light".

Chorus:
Autumnal sky — pastel and deep blue,
A heart that is weary of storms it went through.
It doesn’t deride us, it doesn’t provoke,
But shimmers through tears like a crystalline smoke.
And in this high silence, so pure and so vast,
We’re only but dots on a sheet that is cast.

Verse 3:
The rain is the sky’s careless strings in the air,
A left-handed wind plays a tune on the strings.
The patterns of stars are like runes, old and rare,
That soul reads at midnight of mystical things.
Don’t fear the cold chill or the fading of light,
This autumn has dignity, noble and still.
There’s wisdom in humbleness, quiet and bright:
To learn from the sky: to forgive and be still.

Finale:
The sunset is washing the gouache of gold,
The mirage has melted as midnight takes hold.
On the pristine canvas, where the Master's hand…
The clouds are now sleeping above the dark land.
The city has spread out its lights for the night.
There’s tenderness… eternity… us… in the light.
