Business-mind crash
I’m home in a dash,
My head’s full of noise,
And business-mind crash.
A beer to uncork,
To drown out the stress,
A peck on her cheek,
To soothe the distress.
Then a kiss on the lips,
Sweet dreams to ignite,
Think of the kids,
To make the world bright.
A slice of hot pizza,
The office is dead,
TV’s flickering glow,
To quiet my head.
Day after day,
The cycle rolls on,
Too weary to think,
Who’s singing the song?
Tomorrow I toil,
To bed I must creep,
The world’s in a mess,
And secrets it keeps.
But love warms the blood,
A spark in the night,
With tenderness shared,
We’ll make it all right!
