Evening dusk
автор исходника на русском языке – [Ирина Сыромяжко]
Evening dusk o’er the cold wave releases its reign,
And the quietness spills o’er the chilly terrain.
The old bridge has been burned; ashes nightly dismiss...
And the keys of the past I threw to the abyss.
Bitter taste on my lips comes from onerous dreams.
Of the splintered-in-chill irresponsible themes,
The affliction from parting cuts up like a knife.
And there is no such thing as a joy in my life.
The narration is over, and all has been burned.
Pitch-black darkness enshrouded to be undiscerned.
Cannot breathe through extinguished and outburnt light,
Raking over the bygone coal pile in the night.
I will draw, in great lungful, a swallow of hope.
By good fortune with first steps thus managed to cope.
As the door has swung open—fresh wind in my face.
And I enter the dawn—constant loop to efface.
What confined me so long in the quietness’ chains,
Where my fantasies drowned in dim moonlight's remains,
It falls down, being lost in the crumbles of dust.
And I’m being reborn, seeing light in the vast.
