September born

[Verse 1]
Summer fades as the morning breaks
Golden light on the autumn lakes
A sudden shift in the evening breeze
Amber falling from maples and trees
You stepped in when the air turned cool
Breaking every predictable rule
Eclipsing the heat of July
Under a sapphire September sky

[Chorus]
Born in the month of the shifting light
Electric pulse in the crisp night
Techno hearts beating side by side
On a silver equinox tide
Yeah, you carry the autumn fire
Higher and higher and higher
September gold in the heavy bass
I see my future inside your face

[Verse 2]
Midnight hum of the city street
Feel the drums and the driving beat
Harvest moon in the glass window pane
Washing away all the summer rain
Thirty days of a changing mind
Leaving the ordinary behind
You and I in the laser glow
Nowhere else that we need to go

[Chorus]
Born in the month of the shifting light
Electric pulse in the crisp night
Techno hearts beating side by side
On a silver equinox tide
Yeah, you carry the autumn fire
Higher and higher and higher
September gold in the heavy bass
I see my future inside your face

[Bridge]
As the leaves turn red and gold
A brand new story starts to unfold
No looking back at the fading sun
Our season has only just begun
