Tragic as it may be,
The knowledge acquired
By us, the people of Earth—
Through the relay of languages,
The last of which
Were Aramaic and Hebrew,
And through the relay of knowledge,
One of the final links of which
Was the fired clay tablets
Of the ancient Sumerians—
Bears irrefutable witness
To the fact
That the entire History
Of Earthly Civilization
Is directed today
Toward a future
That has repeated itself
Time and again
In the history
Of Earthly civilization—
Plunging backward in collapse
Due to the strife
Between nations and peoples—
The very strife that invariably
Destroyed past civilizations—
And leading to
Uncompromising wars
That proved suicidal
For all those
Former civilizations.

May Fate spare us,
O humanity,
From such a destiny—
A future that threatens
A clash between two
Forces armed with
Nuclear-missile arsenals:
Fundamentalist Islam,
Striving to transform the Earth
Into a planetary Caliphate—an "Ummah"—
Freed—
Of the "infidels"—
(be they Christians, Jews,
Pagans, or atheists)—
Who would be annihilated—
"To the very last one"—
And the aging community
Of democratic nations
Of the "First World." To put it metaphorically—
In the words of the materialist philosopher
and communist Karl Marx:
"The Third World will become the gravedigger
of the First—or perhaps even of our entire
current earthly human civilization."

If one transposes the current,
protracted military standoff
between the most powerful democratic nation
of Earth’s Judeo-Christian civilization
and the fundamentalist-Islamic Iran
of the Ayatollahs and the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution—
(a revolution "global" in scope, according to Iran's constitution)—
onto the looming, real threat
of a "Gog and Magog" war,
then the conclusion that suggests itself
is, alas, a distressing one.

May this cup
pass us by!
Western Europe
has had its fill
of bitter lessons:
all manner of evils—from the Huns,
Genghis Khan, and ;rp;d
to the Janissaries and Hitler’s Nazism—
came, to its great sorrow,
from Asia, from the East.
It is not without reason that
proverbs exist there such as:
"All evil comes
from the East"
and "Oh, Mama—the Tatars!"

 МИНУЙ НАС, ЛЮДИ,
 СИЯ ЧАША!

Как ни трагично,
Но знания полученные
Нами, землянами,
Через эстафету языков,
Последними в которой
Были арамейский да иврит,
И через эстафету знаний,
Одним из последних звеньев
Которой были
Глинянные обожженные таблички
Древних шумеров,
Свидетельствуют непререкаемо
О том,
Что вся История
Земной Цивилизации
Устремлена сегодня
К будущему,
Которое в Истории
Земной цивилизации
Неоднократно повторялось
С обвалом вспять
Из-за неизменно
Губивших прошлые цивилизации
Распрей стран и народов,
Приводивших
К бескомпромиссным
Самоубийственным
Для всех тех
Прежних цивилизаций войнам.

Судьба нас, люди, упаси
От участи такой,
Уж в обозримом будущем,
Сулящей схлест двух,
Вооруженных ядерно-ракетным
Арсеналом
Сил: Фундаменталистского Ислама,
Рвущегося к превращению Земли
Во Всепланетный Халифат, - «Умму», -
Cвободный, - (freight), -
От уничтоженных, -
«До последнего», -
«неверных», -
(христиан, евреев, язычников ли,
 атеистов), -
И одряхлевшим содружеством
Демократических стран
«Первого мира».

Образно говоря
На языке Философа материалиста
Коммуниста Карла МАРКСА:
«Третий мир станет могильщиком
 Первого, а то и всей нынешней
 Нашей Земной человеческой Цивилизации.

Если транспонировать нынешнее
Затянувшееся военное противостояние
Мощнейшей демократической страны
В нынешней Христианско-Иудейской
Цивилизации Земли
С фундаменталистски-исламским Ираном
Аятолл и Стражей Исламской революции, -
(ВСЕМИРНОЙ по конституции Ирана), -
На реально маячащую угрозу
Войны «Гога с Магогом», -
То вывод напрашивается
Увы, - огорчительный.

Минуй нас, люди,
Сия чаша!

Европа Западная
Вдоволь нахлебалась
Уроков горького познания:
Плохое все, - от гуннов,
Чингиз-Хана до Арпада,
Янычар и гитлеровского нацизма, -
Пришло  на горе ей
Из Азии, с Востока.
Не даром там
Пословицы бытует:
«Все плохое приходит
 с Востока»
И «Ой, мама, татары!».
