Pure Love...

Pure love is not fireworks.
It’s not the “you took me like a calf”
or the village whispering,
 behind the fence.

Pure love is tea by grass,
at 5am in a hut for five.
It’s a spotted pony that won’t let you fall.
It’s a shaggy dog who howls into the pillow for you,
so no one hears.

Pure love doesn’t say “you’re mine.”
It says “you’re alive. That’s enough.”
It doesn’t chain.
It teaches you to stand when the night grabs you by the mane.

Pure love is not “from all the only ones.”
It’s “from all — just you.”
Without conditions. Without debts.
Without dancing when you’re not ready.

It’s walking barefoot on the edge
into skies that used to burn,
and now they just light.
It’s learning to fall up
and grow roots in the air.

Pure love is quiet.
Like the Fifth Squad on the porch.
Like silence after wolves are tired.
Like: “I’m here. And I’m not leaving.”

It doesn’t burn you down.
It burns — to keep you warm.
