I thank God

I thank God for all I got
For the battles that I fought
For the puzzles and the riddles
I have had to figure out

I thank God for all His love
That He sent me from above
I believe it made me happy
And resilient enough

I thank God for all the pain
That I managed to contain
Since it made me only stronger
With no need of novocaine

I thank God for friends and foes
They all matter, I suppose
Sometimes we are close with strangers
And estranged from someone close

I thank God for all His care
Which has kept me from despair
Even when some days were rainy
I was grateful in my prayer
