Six legs to have, and the skill to weave...
Sergey Fyodorovich Fyodorov
The Female Spiders
Webs into wings
They turn —
INDIAN SUMMER...
The female spiders are clever!
From the local males
They fly away on the young ones...
WOMEN’S FREEDOM!
ST. GEORGE’S DAY FOR THE BONDED!
The ladies are waiting,
Preparing,
Composing a sonnet —
Verses they craft...
— If only I had wings!
— I would fly away!
...with a beautiful gesture
She laid out for all
HER TRAGEDY!
...damn it!
The female spiders don’t sell
The webs of their hair...
...on a veil, you won’t fly
Very far!
Indian summer
Will come quietly,
QUIETLY...
And nothing in a woman’s fate
Will it change...
— Six legs to have, and the skill to weave...
