Indigo Darkness

The silence whispered in my ear
A louder noise is drawing near
The eyes reflect a rainbow glow
The world is shining down below
Within the distant, hollow space
My crowded dreams await their place
And resting cold inside the pyre
A fading blueprint in the fire

A black shade looms above the light
Like a corpse frozen in the night
A creature made of shadows crawls
To suck the blue as darkness falls

Indigo darkness binds my hands!
Indigo darkness floods my lands!
Indigo darkness chokes my screams!
The priests are silent in my dreams!

Beside the funeral feast of fate
The restless flames now suffocate
The living blind to where I tread
A pilgrim walking with the dead
The fire consumes my burning flesh
Indigo darkness holds the mesh
The ethanol ignites the spark
The trampled grass smokes in the dark
Upon this ritual, blazing bed
The fire embraces what is dead
The cruel field is wide and bare
Indigo darkness everywhere
