Went to the Emerald Bay
Said Hello, Long Time No See
You've been doing splendid
'Far I can tell, or so it seems

I've been doing alright myself
Or so I'd like to think, Dear
Wait a sec, your parking lot's overwhelmed
It is the season...

So I came back when swell went down
Towards the sunset
Not in a hurry this time
Climbed up the mountain

This view is worth looking at
For several hours
Took my shoes off, to absorb
Your wisdoms and powers

Emerald Bay makes me feel
Transported to Norway
A myriad languages ring in the distance
You're one and only

Minuscule boats circle around
The picturesque island
Stretching my legs
Taking in in
Enjoying the silence

Won't be surprised if i run
Into Martin L Gore here
You never know and I bet
He visits at least once a year

Money and fame love this place
Just like any other
Emerald Bay you're more rich and famous
