Change the priorities

I was not understood, nor valued in my day,
Unseen and unloved, I walked a lonely way.
Look round you now, and open up your eyes,
To see the souls you cast aside as clay.

My worth was hidden, and my heart was never known,
I lived in silence, left to stand alone.
Look round you now, and learn to see the rest,
Before your own cold seeds of pride are sown.

They did not see my soul, nor value what I brought,
Unloved and nameless, I was left to naught.
Look round you now, and learn to see the crowd,
For life is more than what your pride has sought.
