Peace in the Silence

The night feels long while I’m writing in the dark,
It’s sad to hear the whispers in my heart.
I’m tangled up in thoughts that won’t let go,
But every word helps light the darkened glow.

I love the night, I want a quiet place to hide,
To walk in darkness and feel the silence deep inside.
This city sleeps, but my mind keeps spinning round,
As if the words can clear the tangled ground.

In this soft hush, where only pen and paper speak,
I find a quiet peace, a hidden place to breathe.
No one hears me here, no judgments come my way,
Just me and my thoughts, the tension drifting away.
