City at Night
The cities of the night still glow.
Their winding streets are drawn in dotted lines,
And always keep their own design.
The midnight stars are looking down;
The planet smiles beneath their silver light.
The city lights pulse up and down,
And softly flicker till the morning light.
The cities of the night don’t sleep.
Their windows hide the secrets held inside.
A window’s light is someone’s gaze;
At times it shines, at times it fades from sight.
The windows flicker like a concert hall,
Where every light can sing its own refrain.
And high above, the moon conducts it all,
A midnight orchestra among the stars.
City lives.
It guards its own light.
It will find
The answer you need.
