В дождь. отклик, 40 лет спустя...

Смотрю, как по стеклам струится вода,
Природа не знает покоя.
И бьется о берег крутая волна
И тучи скрывают от зноя.

Сквозь влажные блики на мутном окне
Мир тонет в неясных узорах.
И ты уж не видишь кто друг, а кто нет —
Лишь тени в нечетких обзорах.

Мы щедро клянемся, кривясь от вранья,
Где каждый — и жертва, и лжец,
и тонет в холодном потоке гнилья
Надежды нетленный венец

Не стоит на рок нам с обидой пенять,
Бег времени нам неподвластен.
Чтоб жизни финал в одиночку не ждать,
Любить нужно нежно и страстно.

Послушай, как ветер поёт о былом,
Нельзя ошибаться ни в чем,
Ведь каждый наш шаг след оставит в пути, 
Его не стереть не уйти.

In the rain.

I watch as the water streams down on the glass
Nature knows no repose
The steep waves are crashing; the tide will not pass,
And clouds hide the heat as it grows
Through damp, blurry glimmers on windows of gray
The world drowns in patterns unclear
You can’t tell the friend from the foe in the fray
Just shadows that drift and appear

Don’t blame cruel fate with a bitter regret
Time’s race is beyond our command
To face the life’s end without being beset
Love fiercely, with heart in your hand

We swear hollow oaths with a grimace of lies
Where each is a victim and knave
And hope’s golden crown, as the cold current rise
Is lost in the rot of the wave
Now listen: the wind sings of days left behind
No room for a slip or a fall
For every step taken leaves traces defined
No way to erase them at all

Don’t blame your fate with bitter reproach
Time’s flow is beyond our command
So that life’s end won’t come alone
Love tenderly, love with passion grand
