The Cursed House
1
The light of the sun is spreading across
Four walls, an old wardrobe and feeling of loss.
Despite the cloud that's coming its way
It keeps coming through, determined to stay.
A flickering dust is filling the air.
Wherever you look it's more of it there,
It's covering shelves and sticks to the floor
Revealing the footprints near the door.
Pre-Chorus
You listen, but no one speaks,
You ask, but no one stays.
You try to forget
But the memory remains.
Chorus
Every fibre of your soul clings to the name
That you would never dare to say.
And every bit of burning heart
Trembles in agony falling apart.
The house is basking in silence
It knows what you have lost.
You've come to the point
But scared to cross.
2
Someone on TV is showing his win,
The curtains are moving without the wind,
As if they're breathing and feeling alive,
As something is playing with your wounded mind.
This place won't let you leave,
You're trapped in a circle of darkness and grief.
Keep running around, keep spinning in time,
With nothing to gain and nothing to find.
Bridge
You're lost in this place
Forever insane.
So pick up the pace,
Bow to the game.
Chorus
Every fibre of your soul clings to the name
That you would never dare to say.
And every bit of burning heart
Trembles in agony falling apart.
The house is basking in silence
It knows what you have lost.
You've come to the point
But scared to cross.
