The Light of the Soul

The lot is cast. The ages flow
Along the ancient riverbed of mystery.
And drop by drop, in silence, grow
A choir of sorrows, boundless history.

Why, tell me, is such grief bestowed
So near to bliss, upon the verge?
Why must the moments love bestowed
To ashes fall, a dying urge?

   [Chorus]
From a spark the light shall stream
   To fill the void completely.
To sunset moves the ancient dream,
   And I shall vanish sweetly.

Just like a seed in shadow sown,
In us matures a wisdom gleaming,
To pierce through weariness and moan
Heaven's silent breathing, streaming.

It answers back — a purest ray,
Forgiving mortal imperfection,
And with one key unlocks the way
To the boundless cosmic connection.

   [Chorus]
From a spark the light shall stream
   To fill the void completely.
To sunset moves the ancient dream,
   And I shall vanish sweetly.

There all is One. The traits of form
By reverent Fate are gently faded.
And thought, beyond both calm and storm,
With the cell-deep abyss is mated.

O Spirit, poured in silence deep!
A string resounding in vibration...
Your light in darkness pulses steep,
Where "I" is but a breath, You — all creation.

   [Chorus]
From a spark the light shall stream
   To fill the void completely.
To sunset moves the ancient dream,
   And I shall vanish sweetly.
