Too much

You show up like a ghost in the early light,
Then vanish into the dark without a goodbye.
Your words are warm, they almost feel so right,

Every step I take, I’m not sure where to go,
You pull me close, then push me out into the snow.
The highs, the lows—they spin me round and round,
This rollercoaster’s tearing me apart, I’m drowning in the sound.

It’s too much, way too much to understand,
I can’t keep up with this twisted game you play.
You’re hot and cold, a storm inside my hand,
And every time you change, I lose another day.
It’s too much—I’m breaking at the seams,
Too much of these extremes, these broken dreams.
I don’t know what you want, I just feel the sting,
This back and forth is ripping me to shreds, my everything.

One day you beg me to stay, you swear it’s real,
The next, you run so fast I can’t even feel.
You lace your words with honey, then you seal the deal
With icy darts that hit me straight into the core, so deep.

Every step I take, I’m not sure where to go,
You pull me close, then push me out into the snow.
The highs, the lows—they spin me round and round,
This rollercoaster’s tearing me apart, I’m drowning in the sound.
