The Lion at the party

Yesterday, our King of Beasts decided to have some fun,
He came down to the meadow to join the crowd, everyone!
And oh, what a racket, what a wild, noisy scene,
Red foxes were playing, the happiest ever seen,
Frolicking with silver bunnies, wild and free,
The Lion was in high spirits, as happy as could be.

He smiled and he joked, a true showman, it’s true!
"What wonderful weather, my friends!" he called out to the crew.
"No smoke in the air—where did it go, anyway?
The forest isn't burning, and it’s such a lovely day!"

Even the King of Beasts needs a moment to rest,
To breathe in fresh air, putting his worries to the test.
The heat didn't bother them; the animals laughed with glee,
Chasing each other through the meadow, wild and free.
The Lion was resting—tomorrow, the battle starts anew,
For our "cowboy" King has a whole forest to subdue.

And the forest is vast—with hills, meadows, and peaks,
With ravines and dark swamps where the thief often sneaks.
But duty comes first—he’s the King, after all,
The leader of predators, standing proud and tall,
He must keep the coffers full, answering every call.

So he’s forced to take on every burden and fight,
To butt heads with the Bear, a massive, daunting sight,
To play the diplomat with the Panda, day and night,
And a swarm of tiny, nasty insects, buzzing and mean,
Ready to bite or strike a low blow, unseen.

The King is exhausted, tired of ruling this land,
With mistakes he can’t fix, slipping out of his hand.
Maybe it’s time to retire? Yes, time to be wise!
To head for a pension, where the fun truly lies!
It’s decided! I’m off to Africa, to the ocean blue,
I’m done with this animal bedlam—I’m finished with you!

And by the way, the party was a funny game,
The red foxes have caught the fame!
