The Streetcar Named Desire

The Streetcar of Desire — we’re all aboard the ride,
With passions surging deep, where hearts and souls collide.
We hunt for love, we chase its fleeting, golden spark,
Embracing all its fire, yet fearing shadows in the dark.

The streetcar pulls us on, through life’s relentless track,
In thrall to hollow dreams, with no way to turn back.
While youth still burns within, with pulse and spirit high,
We mock the moral codes and let the scandals fly.

The hunger for a touch leaves echoes in the mind,
A trail of ghosts and memories we’re forced to leave behind.
The streetcar thunders on, ignoring names and faces past,
Yet longing for those ghosts until we breathe our last.

A vessel filled with grief, of joys that turned to rust,
Of human ache and sorrow, ground into the dust.
It races toward the light, on rails of steel and pain—
Oh, that we had the wings to soar above this iron chain!
