Not a dish

I thought you knew that
your name was my biggest wish last night.
I always thought we should go together,
but you said we didn't know each other either.

Your eyes told me you just wanted
to be with me, to make it all
from you and me into us —
but I don't care how it could be or was.

It all burned down for your stupid classic line:
"Oh, I want you here, just to see (or sleep) tonight."

I'm not a dish for your small bowl.
I'll make my way just for my own.

Without your sexual stress —
I just wanted to wear my favorite dress,
without thinking what you'd do with me,
without thinking why you disagree with me.

I will not do what you want to do with me.
I will not let you eat my soul.
And after last night,
you will disappear —
to make my future bright.
