На свете всё однажды было,
И нового нет ничего,
И Солнце так по небу плыло,
И люди видели его.

А если просмотреть архивы,
Какие только были дивы,
Елена, Маргарет, Ассоль
Огромную сыграли роль.

Жить рядом довелось с тобою,
Кто краше ты или они,
Ты всех прекрасней в наши дни,
И с кем сравнишься красотою?

Красавиц в древние века
Хвалили зря наверняка!

     Hath been before, how are our brains beguiled,
     Which, labouring for invention, bear amiss
     The second burthen of a former child!
     O that rec rd could with a backward look,
     Even of five hundred courses of the sun,
     Show me your image in some  ntique book,
     Since mind at first in character was done,
     That I might see what the old world could say
     To this compos d wonder of your frame:
     Whether we are mended, or whe'er better they,
     Or whether revolution be the same.
     O sure I am the wits of former days
     To subjects worse have given admiring praise.
