The Geyser of Greed
A supervolcano sighs.
They built a mall upon the crust,
Ignoring all the ash and dust.
Federal lies on the TV screen,
"Everything is fine, serene."
But the ground is getting warm,
Feeding on the human swarm.
The pressure gauge is in the red,
A ticking bomb beneath the bed!
No scientist can stop the clock,
When Mother Nature wants to rock!
YELLOWSTONE!
Crack the sky and split the stone!
HUMBLE PIE!
We are ash, we are alone!
HELLISH GROAN!
Turn the nations into bone!
Say goodbye to the throne!
Boom! The geyser of greed!
Tourists take their selfie-sticks,
With the bison and the ticks.
Snapping photos of the steam,
Living out a foolish dream.
Sacrificial lamb to the flame,
We don't even know our name.
Just a footnote in the dirt,
After all the final squirt.
The magma plume begins to rise,
Reflected in the broker's eyes!
Sell your stocks, it's too damn late,
This is the hand of twisted fate!
YELLOWSTONE!
Crack the sky and split the stone!
HUMBLE PIE!
We are ash, we are alone!
HELLISH GROAN!
Turn the nations into bone!
Say goodbye to the throne!
Boom! The geyser of greed!
Silence...
The shockwave bends the steel...
Violence...
The politicians squeal...
Science...
Just proved they were for real...
Defiance...
Man, how does that feel?
SUPER-HEAT!
YELLOWSTONE!
Crack the sky and split the stone!
HUMBLE PIE!
We are ash, we are alone!
HELLISH GROAN!
Turn the nations into bone!
Say goodbye to the throne!
Boom! The geyser of greed!
Last transmission... fading out...
Not a whisper... not a shout...
Just the hissing of the steam...
Melting silicon and dream...
Yellowstone... takes it all...
CRUSH!
