The pain of red strings
That wrapped around your supple, glowing frame.
And you and I, through silent, wordless haze,
Were tangled in our dark, deceitful game.
The memory of your trembling lips remains:
A gentle bite, a kiss, perhaps a cry.
One fleeting second rippled into waves -
The taste, the moisture, and the sweet, soft high.
I think I simply wanted to drink you up:
A glass today, and maybe two tomorrow.
Like half a bottle from a paper cup.
To quench the thirst right now... and morning sorrow.
I wanted to spill into you by chance,
Almost by accident, beyond repair;
Then press my burning body close, entranced,
And hold you in the grip of pure despair.
To dance with you inside the pitch-black night,
To some slow, sensual, murmuring track.
I wanted something more - a line to write.
I wanted you forever, no turning back.
I wanted to behold you on your knees,
With eyes like ice that shimmer in the gloom.
And in a spell of heavy, humid ease,
To feel your breath upon me in the room.
I wanted to decode your warmth and grace,
The flickering, gentle language of your lips.
To whisper drowsy secrets face to face,
Or filthy little phrases as they slipped.
I wanted to control your very breath,
The rhythm of the heart inside your chest.
But I was filled with poison, bringing death...
You know, I loved you! Sorry for the rest...
