This highway leads to nowhere new,
A turn I took, though I well knew
A sense of doom, a bitter taste,
A fate I can't escape in haste
On this dark road to my demise,
I've driven under watchful eyes
The demons wait in shadows deep,
While promises I cannot keep
One moment weak, one little slip,
And from their grasp, my soul will rip
So I must stand both strong and bold,
A story waiting to unfold
I'm searching for an exit sign,
From this hellish, twisted line
I try my best, with fading might,
The miles will tell if I am right
The road to hell,
Awaits us all,
Who chase the fame,
And heed the call
Of love and gold,
A price is paid,
For careless lives,
And faith betrayed
