Sunset the voice of water

I am the water that wore the shore,
I am the water that washed seven plagues away.
I have watched the world since its very first morning—
Yet man alone is my world today.

You hunt for the glint of gold alone,
But that glint is in you—in your own breast.
I will not save you with any prayer—
I only whisper: “Go. Find rest.”
