To Judy and Thomas, the Fluffy Ball
The house without a kitty
Is a lonely place indeed.
So, we adopted a pretty
Tomcat of a weird breed.
The kitten two months age
Longed for a better fate,
As he was kept in a cage
With an annoying mate.
At first, he made his friendly
Pitiless bites and scratches.
My wife’s arms were, sadly,
Covered with many patches.
Now, two years old,
Getting much love and care,
Thomas is gentle and bold.
His fate is secure and fair.
