Borders of Hate

(Intro)
Look at the map. It’s just lines drawn in ink,
Shades of blue on the paper, but what do they think?
We are born with a hunger to hug and to share,
But they’re wrecking the home that we all have to bear.
Listen.

(Verse 1)
A kid in Cairo, Paris, Tokyo, or Rome
Laughs at the very same joke, far away from home.
We wanna drink their coffee, break bread, learn the way,
Just vibe with each other, no matter the day.
We wanna see the dances, the tales, and the art,
Finding pieces of us in a distant world's heart.
But inside the offices where old laws are made,
They divide us by lines, using fear as a blade.
The speakers are loud, and the propaganda flies:
"They are not like us, look at their different eyes!"
Out of cooks, engineers, and the poets who write,
The states make soldiers for their budget and might.
They force us to be enemies — no choice and no voice,
Making hatred a duty, leaving no other choice.
Some "exclusiveness" screams from the podium aloud:
"We’re the center of space, they’re a barbaric crowd!"

(Chorus)
Why d'you cut all these scars on the skin of the earth?
We are just human beings, looking up for our worth.
We are catching the light, trying to get a bit near,
But your damn "exclusiveness" is all that I hear.
We were born to connect, to explore, to be free,
So why the hell should I fear you, and you should fear me?

(Verse 2)
They wrapped up their pride in a patriot pack,
But it smells like cynics on a burning track.
"Our culture is purer, our history’s prime!" —
They shout it out loud, stealing all of our time.
Robbing us of new friends, robbing us of the view,
When they lock up the borders and the gates after you.
They take our pure steps to learn something new,
And call it treason, a spy kind of view.
I wanna know how they welcome the fall in the west,
I don't wanna believe that your nation is best!
There are no higher cultures, just a palette of life,
Where every single color is a cure for the strife.
But the leaders play gods, putting crowns on their head,
And the news is just blood and a river of lead.
They tell us to burn our neighbors with fire,
While we’re just trying to survive in their mire.

(Outro)
We’re the same — we all cry from the pain, laugh from joy.
We don't need your walls, we are nobody's toy.
Take the uniforms off, we are not your chess pieces.
Earth is a home where the human heart breathes in.
Erase all the borders. Give up on your throne.
We are just human beings. And we’re welcome at home.
