A phantom limb pleasure, a cerebral abyss.
The doctor prescribes it, the priest calls it sin,
But the needle is dry and the well's caved in.

Logic is a liar, reason is a crutch,
When the neurons are screaming for that opiate touch.
The past is a graveyard of glorious highs,
And the future's a mirror of desperate eyes.
